New look at 3 point specialists

So, I was contimplating the per 48 minute statistic after seeing that Mutumbo is second in blocks per 48 at the age of 40 something. I thought I'd take a look at how our 3 point shooters look per 48. So I went to our good neighbor NBA.com. Isn't it so nice that they make it easy to grab the stats and throw them in excel so we can do things like this.

Here are the top 10 3ptrs made per 48 min.

The number on the left is their ranking by 3pt percentage.

I like looking at new ways to determine who is the best 3 point shooter. So far I would go with Barry. His stats just continue to shine no matter which way you look at them. Kapono may have the best percentage right now, but he isn't even in the top ten on 3pt made, 3pt per game, or 3pt per 48. To me, if you aren't taking and making a lot of 3ptrs you shouldn't be considered. Then I realised, if you aren't playing a whole lot of minutes, that shouldn't really take away from your not making a lot.

It continues to be a battle between Barry, Head, and Nash. Barry's got the lead. Nash is easily in 3rd.
