SVG

I have been a fan of this guy. But his constant crediting of the refs for his loss lately is driving me crazy. If you saw that last game, Orlando had so many silly mistakes in the 4th quarter. Running out the clock, intentionally, when they were behind. Bending over for a loose ball that Tayshaun dove for, and he was like 3 times further away from it. I silly frutration tech late in the 4th. It goes on really.

He is asking the league now for an explanation of a no call on a blocking foul on the last play of the game. True, in the reg season, it would have been a blocking foul; at least if it was earlier in the game. But these playoffs, no-calls on last plays have been the standard. I have seen the exact same no call a few times now. SVG shoudl know that. Even Lebron, on an extremely similar play had the same thing happen to him. Instead fo crying about it though, he said, i should have made the shot.

In all things, it is important to take responsibility for your current situation. SVG needs to grow up.

in theory, i agree.

BUT i've been bitching about these stupid refs for years and if i was a coach i'd prolly die of a heart attack every game because of some jackass call, so i kinda see where he's coming from

Tell the rockets that they don't call fouls on the last play of the game.

Refs suck.

Occasionally the calls do seem to help one team out more than the other. And if i thought one could arguably make a claim that this game was called to the advantage of one team (as in that houston game), i wouldn't care. But this last game was evenly officiated in my opinion.

In general, posts like howard, who are constantly around the hoop fighting for position are gonna give and take a lot of contact that is not called. Howard had a shove in the back to get a rebound and another foul in the first quarter, so he could of spent most the game wasting time on the bench. It didn't bother me when it happened, cause i see that stuff among centers almost everytime down the court. Funny, though, SVG doesn't mind those uncalled fouls.

If you had every chance to win the game, but repeatedly had careless mistakes and failed to execute down the stretch, crediting the refs for your loss just makes you seem like a guy that can't man up enough to admit they blew it.

They have had problems with 4th quarter execution the whole series, actually. If i were the coach, i would be much more concerned with that.

yea, i think more often than not, the refs are crappier than they are biased.
but sometimes i swear they're out to get me!
