The Least

A long time champion and apologist for the East, I never thought I would dedicate a thread to how much the East sucks. But here I go:)

I have always felt like people are pretty retarded with the 'easy' Conference jokes. While, for a while now, the West has been better than the East 1 through 8. I thought the West was way-overcredited and the East way undercredited.

But this year, I don't think people are being hard enough on the East. They are soooooo shitty. Aside from Detroit and Boston, I see all Isotopes. I mean, props to magic really. They just aren't a Finals quality team yet. But, they are improving at a nice pace each year.
But the rest is sadness.

We(East) should have been much better this year. But, most our best teams got decidedly worse this year.

Heat--Champs two years ago, now worst team in NBA.
Nets--One of the two teams that most picked to take East this year (before season began).
Bulls--The other team. Both these teams were supposed to be better this year than last.
Toronto--I guess Toronto is chugging along nicely. They aren't so bad, just not so good either. I suppose Toronto along with Orlando are improving teams, and that is fine. Still Isotopes though.
Orlando--Not an embarresing team at all. If they were any better at all, i wouldn't consider them Isotopes.
Knicks--No failed expectations here, just a bloody awful, god-damned, nightmare.
Indiana--A team that was very tough just a few years ago. Not long ago, they seemed like a longterm detroit rival.
Washington--This team maybe would have been better with their best player. Injuries can't be helped, so this team is not dissapointing. But, at the same time they are. Cause , i was counting on them to have a much better record after last season. Still, not their fault, i guess.
The rest of the teams were already bad, and them being bad again is no surprise.

If you look at the diff rankings this week. The East are 1 and 2. But the West are like 3-12. I mean, @#$%!!!.

Anyway, since i brought up 1 and 2. Thank God for them. Boston and Detroit look great. No matter how bad the East is, we still have as good of a chance at the Championship as the West with those guys around.

I would just like to insert my "conferences are stupid" claim when it comes to seeding and this would all be fixed come playoff time. If the playoffs were comprised of the 16 teams with the best records in the NBA we would have 10 from the West and 6 from the East. That way Houston and Portland would both make the playoffs and the crappiest East team in the playoffs would be Washington.

As it is we're stuck with Atlanta and New Jersey in the playoffs and no Houston. Yuck! You're telling me that more people want to see Atlanta in the playoffs rather than Houston? Or that Atlanta is somehow a better or more deserving team to be in the playoffs than Houston. Silliness.

The whole thing is ridiculous. Stupid, old, rich people in power annoy the crap out of me. They don't want to change anything. If you're in power the only thing you want is to stay in power. And the best way to do that is to not change anything. Don't rock the boat. Heaven forbid you actually improve something once in your life you worthless piles of dog excrement.

Ass-clowns.

I'm out!

if houston wants to make the stupid playoffs, they should just suck it up and move out east.
it's not the NBA's fault that Atlanta is clearly more of a playoff team than HOU. take that patrick!

whoops, jsut realized i forgot a team.

Cavs-This is like the third year of waiting for them to get a PG.

I've said it b4, and i'm saying again. In 9 years, Lebron is gonna be rewarded for his years of loyalty by being traded to an actual contender. Like garnett in Minnesota. I just don't seeing that club taking care of the Big Bad Bron. Jopefully he isn't as loyal as Garnett. 12 years is too long to spend with a bad club if you are that good.

In response to you guys..

Maybe if the Western conference wasn't like 80% of the country's area. Comeon, Memphis is in the West? I woudl love to have New Orleans in the East. You guys can keep Minnesota, but that is really in the east too:P (btw, i'm kidding here)

Who would you rather have Tall Yao or Al Horford? Muhaha
