Just a mini post

I found this factoid and thought it was pretty interesting:

Since 1999 every NBA Finals has featured either Tim Duncan or Shaquille O'Neal.

Now Tom go ahead and say something about how Shaq is as good as Tim Duncan. :)

On another note. The player with the best efficiency rating this year...

Not KG

Not Timmy

Not Steve

It's......LeBron who boasts a 30.4 Eff rating. Next is Dwight Howard for all you Dwight haters and third is KG.

No surprise. And i bet it is even more for Defense then Offense. You need those big dooods clogging up the lane.

I don't fully believe in teams like Dallas and Pheonix. Their star big men don't clog up the lane as well.

Especially Dirk. Last night, i watched Dallas lose to Boston cause Dirk didn't block out Rondo. Effin Embarresing. Rondo hopped around that big ape, grabbed the ball and scoped it in.

yeah - I hear ya on Dirk but I think he's a victim of vertical discrimination. He's definitely no center & I, personally, don't think his game is PF. He's got all of the skillsets of a great SF. I saw that play & it's inexcusable but Avery's got to have a true rebounder out there to block out... he shouldn't have to rely on Dirk for that skill in a crunch situation; Dirk should be a plus. Not that I love Dampier or Diop but combine their numbers together and.... well, honestly, I thought they'd be better:

Player Min. Reb Blk TO Pts
Diop 17.5 5.2 1.2 .8 3.2
Damp. 22.4 6.9 1.4 .97 5.4

TOTAL 40 12 2.6 1.8 8.6

I was gonna say, a true rebounding, shot-blocking center should have been out there & responsible for blocking out. Those two need to become more reliable.
