Marbury a good idea?

Was adding Marbury a good idea? Apparently not.

Since he signed, Boston is -28 with Stephon Marbury on the court and +24 with him on the bench.

Also, what is up with the Celtics still in the to 10 of the power rankings? They've been terrible without KG. Stupid media.

Yeah, i wasn't so sure Marbury would be good. But, i never thought he would be as bad as he has been.

The power rankings are just one guy's opinion. Nonetheless, i think Boston is still a top 10 team. Even with their recent .500 ball. The other teams in the top 10 haven't exactly been winning out.

In their last 10 games Miami is 6-4, Houston 6-4, SAS 6-4. The top 10 aren't really putting a big enough gap between them and Boston to knock them out of top 10. And they still have 14 more wins than Miami, so it'd be strange to put them before Boston.

Well, I'm just think power rankings should be a ranking of how people are playing this week. Otherwise, why not just go look at the fucking standings.

but i agree, shasher. i thought that is what the power rankings were for too.
i just checked boston's last 10, they are 5-5 with nothing sticking out except that they beat cle. pierce had a way better game than lebron which seems almost unbelievable having watched them play a few months ago when bron smashed the whole team while pierce watched helplessly.

but i digress.

rondo is too good they wasted time with marbury. shoulda got another role playing big in the absence of kg.

I always thought he tried to tie in recent play with over-all performance.

To use basically your same point. If his rankings only concerned with one week of play, people can just look at the records, eliminating all subjectivity. And that is all the rankings are- a subjective "who i think is best," by John Schumann.

Most sports journalist are renobs. You gotta take what they say with a grain of salt.

yes, they could look at that week's record...which would be tedious, and also take into account their opponent's power ranking, even more tedious.

i pretty much look at those to see a summary of how they did the previous week (which they do well), thus they should be sorted by their week's play.

Fret not! I have come up with a solution. I will do a power ranking that meets every criterion you are looking for. I believe you will find it most agreeable. (I don't consider Schumann an expert; so my ranking is just as credible as his.)
