before i'd even heard the name Dwight Howard, Tom told me this guy was good for 30 and 20. at the time i was like, "jesus tom are you kidding me nobody can give you that every night!"
but now, tom's prophecy is coming dangerously close to true this year,which may end up being the reason he has to take a huge bite out of a living fish at boy's club.

After i made that bet, i was really shaking in my boots (if i ever wore boots). I don't even like fish cooked really.
Thankfully, Magic is starting to play a bit more like i thought they would. Well, really, a bit worse.
I need to watch them play more. I don't get why some games Howard takes so few shots. Too many games he has less then 10 shots.
Either they aren't getting it to him enough, or he still has a good amount of work to do at creating his own shot. Seems like he only misses 1 or 2 shots no matter how many FGAs he has.
I suppose it is mostly dunks and cleanup still. I saw him a bit early on in season. Seemed like his offensive skill set improved a lot over last year, so i want more shot attempts!
Frankly, i think Detroit is looking like the best team in NBA over last month. (Though SAs dilemmas seem all injury related. So, given health, they will be back in championship form soon enough, i'm sure.) So, i'm feeling a lot better about the Fish.

About Howard...
I watched him play Houston last night. I've seen the numbers he puts up and they are amazing. However, I think I would attribute them to the fact that there aren't any fucking centers in the NBA. Especially in the eastern conference. Yao made him look mortal.
Speaking of Yao...the Magic press were interviewing him after the game and they said
reporter: "The next time you will see Dwight is in the All-Star game."
yao: "And then in the finals"
And he said it with a straight face. That guy is so damn funny!
