Who planned this?

The NBA schedule has never made sense to me. It's only the first month of the season and already there are some teams that have played four more games than other teams.

Chicago and Minnesota have only played 10 games whereas Orlando and New Orleans have already played 14. What the hell? I know they all end up playing 82 games by the end but shouldn't the schedules be a little more aligned? Obviously teams take "turns" playing several games in a short period of time and then have a big break but why not just even the whole thing out.

Or is there not a supercomputer created yet that can master this scheduling predicament task?

I imagine piecing together an NBA schedule sucks balls.

I have never tried it; but, as far as i know, they did use a supercomputer. And the current schedule is already as even as possible
