The Business of Basketball

Ranks all clubs by there monetary value. Pretty interesting.

I always hear SA has a "pea-sized" market. But there value is not far behind the rest of the pack (not counting NY and LA, cause thier markets are leet. Forbes says this club is "one of the leagues most valuable teams"

Houston has gone up the most this season.

Only Portland made less this year than last year. Only one team (Wizards) stayed the same. Guess that means nba is very healthy.

I'd bet that international revenue has significant play in some of these numbers (i.e. Yao, Dirk, Manu, TonyP, etc.)

I can't believe SA didn't sell out the first game of the conf. finals though. That is rediculous. They have been like the best team in sports over the last decade (winning percentage-wise).

If i lived in SA (and was a sputrs fan) i would go to the finals this year. I went to game 6 two years ago, when DET beat SA. Was great fun. Ya'll got a helluva chance of watching them win it at home this year.
