Rondo=chopped liver?

If i had Rondo, i would laugh at the idea of bringing in this guy. is he gonna be a million$ backup?

do you guys like this move? seems like the only dumb move they've made since trading for KG:)

but seriously, richard? do you (or anyone else besides shasher and tom) read this silly thread anymore? i'd like some input from a Cs fan. I've been watching them a lot this year and this just seems wrong.

In boston they keep saying rondo is having an allstar year. If that is true, i dont see any need for marbury either. Or is marbury supposed to come off the bench or something?

I haven't seen marbury play in ages. I dont even remember what his game looks like.

Yea, he used to be a star, but I don't know what he is like now. If it was just that idiot coach Thomas that was the problem in New York, I say watch out for Boston.

i've watched a lot of boston this year, and rondo is really good. i wouldnt call him an allstar but he's certainly a legit, defensive minded, athletic starting guard. i there's only a handful of pg's i'd rather have.

wikipedia has this on marbury-
97/98-led the wolves to the playoffs with KG. failed. Starbury
fought with mgt over his role in the offense, and got traded to the Nets.
2000-took the nets nowhere, got traded to phx
03-knocked out in the 1st rd with phx
04-starts season 3-15 with phx, phx trades him to the Knicks
04-olympics-he's on the first NBA olympic team to fail to win
05-Starbury fights with Larry brown, Larry gets canned
06-isiah takes over the Knicks, starbury leads them to 2 dismal seasons,
Isiah fights with Starbury, Isiah gets canned
present day-D'antoni takes over, starts Duhon instead of Starbury, Starbury
gets upset and refuses to play when called upon, and then we have this
crazy standoff that just ended.

stat-wise, rondo gets less points (historically) than starbury but he's way better at rebounding and stealing the ball. also, his shooting % is higher. neither one is a very good 3pt or FT shooter, and both get about the same # of asst/gm.

I dont watch a lot of boston cause i can not stand that Boston broadcaster. Tommy something. Though i guess they on national tv a good amount.

If i was Rondo, and marbury came in to start, i think i'd be pretty pissed.
