Horry, Amare, Diaw Suspended

...suspended

Suspending players for leaving the bench is a craptastic rule if you ask me. They couldn't not suspend amare, diaw. The rule is there so you gotta follow it no matter how lame it is. They can't jsut let it slide or change the rule.

That being said, I hope they look at this rule in the off season and change it to a fine. Afterwards, the NBA can make it a suspension if they think that is fitting. I think if amare and diaw weren't stopped by the Suns ass. coaches, etc., they should have been suspended. But, as it was, the punishment don't fit the crime.

Chuck said same thing happend to him and he just took two steps. They should have fixed this rule back then.

Agree? disagree? Keep rule or change it? Change it to what?

i just saw a report that said that horry was suspended 2 games for the hit on Nash. I don't know if that is true or not. But if it is, then Horry didn't even get a punishment for the ensuing altercation and the punch he threw.

So that would mean taking a few steps on the court is a bigger offense then punching people. very odd.

This may sound like spur-hating. But i like the spurs and i want them to beat the suns. I'm just pissed that what was an amazing series has been greatly diminished.
I have been loving watching these 2 giants play eachother. But without amare and his backup, Suns are not really a giant anymore. They're still good enough to get lucky in game 5 though, so we'll see.

Horry was suspended one game for the hit, and another for pushing Bell.

I think this is a typical case of beauracracy in action. The rule is there, so they have to follow it. That shouldn't be the case in my opinion. There is no reason that they should be shackled by rules that they made in the first place. Look at the tape and make an informed decision.

Spurs are the dirtiest team in the NBA. Booo Spurs

Okay, i'm glad what i heard was wrong. It makes much more sense that Horry's 2nd game was for the following stuff.

I do think they did the right thing, with all 3 player suspensions. They couldn't change the rule overnight in the middle of the playoffs. But, i think it needs to be fixed in offseason.

By the way, Shouldn't Nash of gotten something, at least a tech, for going after Horry afer he got back to his feet? I pretty sure it is not okay to go after someone if he flagrant fouls you.

Oh, and they showed some footage of Barkley's suspension for breaking the same rule. Unsurprisingly, chuck was exagerating, heheh. He was in the middle of the court. He wasn't really doing anything, but he was (seemingly) staring fools down. His presence did more to escalate the prblem than Stoud. and diaw. I was laughing, cause barkley said like 100 times he only took "two steps" and "it wasn't near as bad as [the 2 suns]." What a goof.

firstly, i don't think it's fair to say that the spurs are the dirtiest team in basketball. there are plenty of dirty players and teams, but the spurs get more attention cause they're always good and people like to hate on good teams...PATRICK

also, i agree with what tom said about nash. i saw that crap and he popped up off the floor looking to fight. if nobody would have stopped him, he would have gladly gotten his ass beat by robert horry. i think this behavior should be punished, but certainly not as severely as horry should be punished.

in my opinion, horry deserves his suspension and a fine (and maybe more- it really pissed me off when he did that) but i think they (the nba) should think VERY hard before handing out suspensions during the playoffs. i, like tom, was enjoying the crap out of this series, and now...

having said all this, i think it is insane to suspend 2 of their best players in the playoffs just because 'the rule is there and we need to follow it'. i agree with patrick on this point- look at the tape and make an informed decision.
if it was me making the call, i would fine all those involved except horry, who i would suspend for the rest of the series and fine.

and i'm not saying horry isn't dirty- just that the spurs aren't the dirtiest team in the nba.

horry is dirty as shit.

I don't understand how bell didn't get suspended. He shoved the hell out of Horry.

Who is dirtier than the dirty Spurs?
