Of course everyone hates it. The comish says that its cyclical so we should ignore it. How much bull is that? Just because it swings to the east sometimes doesn't make it any better. I mean, how does that argument make any sense?
There are some valid arguments. Like making some teams travel all the way across the country. And of couse the game times being two hours different for the two team's fans. But saying its cyclical is just retarded.
I do have a question though. It looks like Utah is going to get the 4th seed even though the 5th seed will have a better record. Another ugly aspect rears its head. So, who has home court advantage in that series? And if you tell me its Utah, I'm gonna have to burn something.

cyclical? really? come on commish.
go UTAH! F shasher!
fun fact:
if the playoffs started today, there would be 2 teams in the West with a .500 + record who would NOT make the playoffs. (DEN is at .600 and they wouldn't make it)
AND
there would be 3 teams in the east with <.500 that would make the playoffs.
if DEN was in the east, they would be 4th seed.
Don't get me started.
To add to Jake's comment...
Yeah, Denver is at 37-24 (13 games above 500) and they just beat the defending champs. They are currently not in the playoffs.
New Jersey is in the playoffs. They are at 26-36 (10 games under 500!) Not to mention they mostly play crappy East teams.
That's right, Denver is 11.5 games ahead of a team that's already in the playoffs. I can't think of a better system.
