lol, Jake. Ya'll always hating on the east. West has all the cream this year, but i don't think west's 5 through 8 are necessarily better than easts. And thanks to miami's recent wins, we finally got 8 teams at .500 in the conference.
East.
1. Detroit 2. Chicago 3. Miami 4. Cleveland 5. Washington 6. Toronto 7. Indiana 8. Orlando
West.
1. Dallas 2. Pheonix 3. Utah 4. San Antonio 5. Houston 6. Lakers 7. Denver 8. Minnesota
I love Chris Paul, but i hate thinking about Garnett not in the playoffs. (Though, i like to think of him as not playing for minn.)
1 Detroit 2 Miami 3 Toronto 4 Chicago 5 Cleveland 6 Washington 7 Springfield 8 Pawtuckett
West
1 Dallas 2 Phoenix 3 Utah 4 San Antonio 5 Houston 6 Lakers 7 Denver 8 Clippers
yea thanks patrick. i always forget that. (the atlantic is such a joke right now-i don't really thing toronto should be mentioned, but they have #3 locked !?) and i'm keeping pawtuckett. i agree with you though tom once you get down to the clippers, you might as well be in the east.
Man the East is lame. It would be cool if Phoenix and Dallas could play for the NBA Championship. Instead they have to play for the West Championship and then the winner plays in the Pro Bowl the next week. If only there was a way to fix this. Hmmm...
It is kind of weird that the East has 8 .500+ teams and the West only has 7. Although, the West has 5 teams better than Detroit, the East's best team (by record). Maybe the West is full of really good teams that get to play and beat really bad teams a lot. Of course the East does have Boston, Milwaukee and Charlotte. None of which has bothered to win 20 games yet.
Here's a quote from Boston Celtics Executive Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge:
"Yeah, we'll get around to it, quit buggin us! It's kind of hard to draft Kevin Durant if you're busy 'winning' all the time. Most people don't understand how tough it is to lose 18 games in a row. That takes a deep commitment to sucking ass that most human beings simply can't stomach. Luckily for us Paul Pierce missed several games after 'accidently' injuring himself in a bare-knuckle shootfighting tournament in Thailand. I don't know what he was thinking by going there during the season. All I can say is that this guy has a great knack for losing and will go to any length to help his team. Really a class act all the way around. God do we suck."
dude i think you may need to revise your comment. 1. you have zero teams included from the atlantic division. 2. as patrick pointed out when i made a similar error: utah pretty much has to be #3 3. ditka is a person. he doesnt even have a roster 4. west lake jv is HOT this year! 8?!
I think Ditka's from the Atlantic division. Or is he from the Mid-Western, I can't ever remember.
And Utah could be fourth seed according to Wikipedia: "Under the new rules, the top three division winners and top non-division winner are the recipients of the top four seeds based solely upon record (assuring the division winner with the worst record of the three no worse than a 4th seed), with the remaining four teams seeded by won-loss record as well."
How about this then:
East: 1. Detroit 2. Cleveland 3. Washington 4. Toronto 5. Miami 6. Chicago 7. Orlando 8. Indiana
